YouTube Terms of Service

Questingo uses YouTube API Services. By using our Service, you are also agreeing to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

By creating an account or using Questingo, you acknowledge that:

Description of Service

Questingo is an AI-powered flashcard creation and study application that:

Generates flashcards from various sources (text, YouTube videos, images, documents)
Provides interactive study modes with voice and visual learning
Tracks your learning progress and mastery
Offers multilingual support and text-to-speech features

Account Registration and Security

Account Creation

To use certain features of Questingo, you must create an account by providing:

A valid email address
A secure password
Acceptance of these Terms and our Privacy Policy

Account Security

You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
All activities that occur under your account
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
Ensuring your account information is accurate and current

User Content and Conduct

Your Content

When you create flashcards or other content on Questingo:

You retain all ownership rights to your content
You grant us a license to store, display, and process your content to provide the Service
You represent that you have the right to share the content
You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of your content

Prohibited Content

You may not create, upload, or share content that:

Infringes on intellectual property rights
Contains hate speech, harassment, or discrimination
Includes explicit, obscene, or inappropriate material
Promotes illegal activities or violence
Contains malware, viruses, or harmful code
Violates any applicable laws or regulations

Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

Use the Service for any illegal purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) without permission
Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service
Interfere with other users' use of the Service

YouTube-Specific Terms

YouTube API Usage

When using YouTube features in Questingo:

You agree to comply with YouTube API Services Terms of Service
You will not download, store, or cache YouTube audiovisual content
You will not modify, interfere with, or block YouTube advertisements
You can revoke our access via Google security settings

Intellectual Property Rights

Questingo and all its features are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

License Grant to You

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

Access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes
Create and study flashcards
Use features as intended and described

AI-Generated Content

Questingo uses AI services including Google Gemini, Cloudflare AI (Flux Schnell), and Replicate to generate quizzes, flashcards, explanations, images, and study materials:

  • AI-generated content is provided "as is" and we do not guarantee its accuracy
  • Quizzes and content cannot be edited after generation - you can regenerate if unsatisfied
  • You should verify important information independently
  • AI-generated images are created for educational purposes only

Third-Party Services

Questingo integrates with the following third-party services. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies:

  • YouTube API Services - Video metadata and transcripts for quiz generation
  • Google Gemini - AI content generation
  • Google Cloud Text-to-Speech - Voice synthesis for audio features
  • OpenAI (Whisper) - Speech-to-text for voice quiz responses
  • Supabase - Database, authentication, and data storage
  • Cloudflare - Workers (backend), R2 (storage), AI (image generation), CDN
  • PostHog (EU) - Product analytics and session recordings to improve our service
  • Plunk - Transactional email delivery
  • Replicate - Fallback AI image generation
  • Twilio - SMS verification for parent identity verification
  • Stripe - Credit card verification for parent identity verification

Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

Privacy and Data Protection

Modifications to the Service
