Learning Progress: Quiz scores, flashcards created, and study time
Voice Data: Audio recordings when using voice-enabled features (only with explicit parental consent)
Technical Data: IP address, browser type, and device information (used solely for support and operations)

How We Use Information

Educational Purposes

To generate personalized flashcards, track learning progress, and provide feedback on quizzes.

Service Improvement

To analyze how our service is used and improve our educational content and features.

Parental Rights

Under COPPA, parents have control over their child's personal information. You have the right to:

We will respond to all requests within 7 business days and complete data deletion within 30 days.

Security Measures for Children's Data

We take extra precautions to protect children's information:

Access Controls: Strict limitations on who can access children's data

Third-Party Services

When children use Questingo, their data may be shared with the following service providers (only as necessary for educational functionality):

Google Gemini: AI-powered flashcard and quiz generation (no personal data shared, only educational content)
Google Cloud Text-to-Speech: Converting text to audio for voice mode (no personal data shared)
OpenAI (Whisper): Speech-to-text for voice quiz responses (audio processed, not stored by OpenAI)
Supabase: Secure database storage with encryption
Cloudflare: Content delivery, file storage, and AI image generation
Replicate: Fallback AI image generation for educational content
YouTube API: Video metadata for curriculum content (children view videos via YouTube embed)
PostHog (EU): Product analytics to improve our service (session recordings exclude children's sensitive inputs, data processed in EU)
Plunk: Email delivery for parent notifications (emails sent to parent accounts only)

Parent Verification Services

The following services are used only for parent identity verification and do not process children's data:

Twilio: SMS verification for parent phone number verification
Stripe: Credit card verification for parent identity (we do not store card numbers)

All third-party providers are required to maintain COPPA compliance and protect children's data.
